We're thrilled to share the New York State Baseball Hall of Fame announced that Mets Team Photographer Marc Levine will be posthumously inducted into the 2025 class. The announcement was made by New York State Baseball Hall of Fame Executive Director, Rene LeRoux. Levine unexpectedly passed away earlier this year. For more than three and half decades, he documented every Mets moment and photographed over 2,000 players. Levine was the longest tenured photographer in team history and the first base photo well was dedicated in his honor last season with a plaque recognizing his contributions to the organization. “I was fortunate to have Marc photograph my entire career,” said David Wright. “He became a dear friend, who would do anything for anybody. What a great honor and so well deserved.” “Marc’s body of work was just amazing,” said LeRoux. “It’s easy to see from his photos how much he loved the game and people around Major League Baseball had nothing but respect and admiration for the way he did his job.” https://lnkd.in/eppxgiUQ

Thank you to all our Veterans who serve and protect. We honor Veteran and Mets Transportation and Medical Manager James O'Brien during Veterans Month. Growing up, James loved playing sports and was a huge Met fan. “My favorite Mets moment was when Endy Chavez robbed Scott Rolen of a home run in game 7 of the 2006 NLCS.” Now, nearly twenty years later, James is an active Mets employee as well as an active Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. James balances his civilian and Military duties regularly, which span much greater than just drill weekends. “It can be challenging to find time for everything, but having the chance to work for the Mets while still serving my country has been very rewarding.” #Metsemployees #VeteransMonth
