As a skilled operator, she’s now channeling her expertise into her role as a Corporate Hospitality Analyst at BRIDGETON, where she’s driving portfolio maximization and scouting new opportunities for expansion. A lifelong athlete with an appetite for challenge, Kat is a marathoner, a triathlete, a soccer player, and is always on the hunt for her next big challenge.

Meet Alexa Leahy, Director of Membership at New York City Women of Hospitality (NYCWOH). Alexa is a seasoned hospitality pro with a passion for room operations, having honed her expertise across some of the most prestigious luxury and lifestyle brands. Her focus is on delivering exceptional guest experiences, boosting associate engagement, and driving operational excellence. As a Certified Sommelier, Alexa also dreams of one day owning her own winery—where her love for hospitality and fine wine can truly flourish!

Meet Magalie Pognon, Director of Communications at New York City Women of Hospitality (NYCWOH). Magalie is a vibrant and seasoned Human Resources & Operations professional with an extensive background in the hospitality industry. Her impressive career includes work in both the US and internationally, with key locations such as New York, San Francisco, New Jersey, Atlanta, and the Maldives. Magalie’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including Luxury Goods, Problem Resolution, Mentoring, Food & Beverage, Rooms Operations, Leadership Development, Employee Recognition, Recruitment, Brand Identity, Hotel Management, Property Openings, and Renovations. She is also skilled in Employee Development, Event Curation, Tips Training, Notary services, and is a Training Champion, to name just a few of her many talents. When she's not spending time with her family, Magalie channels her creativity into a variety of passions. She loves crafting new Zumba routines, traveling the world, participating in community service, exploring the city for the latest exhibits, discovering unique restaurants, and cultivating a bold fashion style that often features vintage finds.

Meet Tatiane Tonkin, Director of Marketing & PR at New York City Women of Hospitality (NYCWOH). Tatiane is a standout event specialist who’s orchestrated unforgettable experiences for Fortune 100 CEOs and A-list celebrities alike. Starting her career in global television production, she later pivoted to the restaurant industry, eventually rising to U.S. Director of Sales & Marketing. She is renowned for her stellar sales acumen, dynamic team leadership, and innovative marketing strategies. Tatiane also finds joy in music, cooking up a storm, diving into sci-fi, exploring new destinations, and lending her event expertise to friends.

Meet Joli Barfield SHRM-CP, Co-Founder and Chairperson of New York City Women of Hospitality (NYCWOH). Armed with SHRM-CP and Six Sigma certification, Joli brings a unique blend of education and hospitality management expertise to the table. She’s a pro at talent acquisition, quality training, and associate development, making her a powerhouse in the People and Learning space. When she's not elevating teams, you'll find Joli whipping up delicious meals, flowing through yoga poses, or hitting the trails. Her mission?
