Proud to say that Neumann Monson was one of 92 signatory firms to report and one of 59 to take the additional step to report optional project and product level metrics! Great work by our materials pledge team to pull this first year's worth of information together! A little over a year ago, the The American Institute of Architects (AIA)'s Materials Pledge Working Group and staff convened ahead of Greenbuild 2023 to begin to establish the program's metrics and reporting structure. It's been a busy year - and I'm thrilled to showcase our program's first public report, the AIA Materials Pledge By the Numbers (RY23)! https://lnkd.in/e2AWQPp9 🏢The AIA Materials Pledge convenes almost 300 signatory architecture and design firms that are dedicated to transforming the way industry towards holistic healthy materials selection. Not yet a signatory? Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eEa3jcY8 🔢This inaugural reporting year, 92 signatory firms reported the required firm-level metrics and 59 of these firms took the additional step and reported optional project- and product-level metrics. 🌿This is our first year of collecting data but firms have already been putting in the work. 61% of reporting firms already have a Sustainability Action Plans with materials goals and 53% of reporting firms have materials libraries collecting sustainable criteria. 🖥️ And the journey continues! Next year’s upcoming reporting cycle will be February 1-May 31, 2025. Ready to take action and join us? An incredible thanks to our hardworking Materials Pledge Working Group: Lona Rerick Tanya Eagle Maria Papiez, M.S., AIA, NCARB Jay Hindmarsh, AIA, LEED WELL AP, LFA, CSI CDT CCS Misha Semënov-Leiva Mary Dickinson and AIA Materials Pledge (current and past) staff: Melissa Morancy, Assoc.
