Rob Everett and Wayne Felton, PE attended the renaming of the Carolina Mudcats to the Wilson Warbirds on November 22nd at the airfield in the City of Wilson. The new name of the MiLB team is a tribute to North Carolina's history with WWII aircrafts and a nod to Vollis Simpson, a local legend who also served and created windmills from parts of B-29 Superfortress Bombers during WWII. The Town of Apex has a lot going! We are extremely grateful to be a part of this community building effort and look forward to seeing how the spaces get developed and interwoven with our current and upcoming projects.

NEMA Management is a small local firm who takes pride in investing in our local economy and being collaborative. Our office meets weekly to discuss project updates. This fosters continuous support to each of our team members by providing collaboration of critical thinking on project issues. Additionally, it allows one of our team members to easily step into a project should the project manager assigned to a project require time off. Recently, we met after hours at one of our previous projects to discuss this year's holiday gifts. Given our office mission, we decided the best gift to our partners and ourselves during the season of giving would be a large charitable donation to Western North Carolina in support of communities who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene. We also selected Raffaldini Winery and Powell & Stokes Inc./Bertie County Peanuts to further invest in North Carolina businesses. As our project comes to a close, we love seeing it in full use. The Town of Apex and Sweetwater Development will have a new Harris Teeter location at 2810 Teachey Place. It's GRAND OPENING is today, November 12th and will be featuring a "Taste of Teeter" ribbon cutting event from 4-7pm. NEMA Management had the opportunity to serve as a sponsor for the Raleigh Rescue Mission's 2024 Raleigh Rescue Mission Gala. We had a wonderful evening with our partners, enjoying the food and beautiful ambiance at North Ridge Country Club | Raleigh, and hearing the inspirational stories members within Raleigh Rescue as well as Atlanta Mission. We are so proud to participate in Raleigh Rescue's mission to strengthen our community and empower its people.

Exciting news! On Oct 11th, NEMA Management joined our partners Stanley Martin Homes, Sunhouse Development Company, McDonald York Building Company, Arcadis, and Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services for the Groundbreaking of the Shoppes at Twyla Walk, which is a high-end mixed use commercial building programmed for restaurant, retail, and office spaces. The building is situated in an exceptional location, right by Morrisville Parkway and 540 Triangle Expressway, and within a gorgeous walkable residential neighborhood with amazing amenities coming underway. This project is a great testament to developing strong communities within the Town of Cary and the Triangle. We are cannot wait to see the final product! Additionally, we'd also like to thank Sitescapes LLC, McAdams and KLB CONSTRUCTION SERVICES LLC, who have been wonderful in implementing strong strategies regarding this project's site work design and construction efforts.
