Collins joined other community health center advocates to meet with congressional members in Washington DC to encourage continued support for community health centers. About us
At Neighborcare Health, we believe everyone deserves a place to call their health care home, where a team of medical, dental and mental health professionals work in collaboration with each patient to develop a personal health improvement plan. We are the largest provider of primary medical, dental and behavioral health care services in the Seattle area serving low-income and uninsured families and individuals, seniors on fixed incomes, immigrants, and the homeless. Each year we care for about 60,000 patients at our nearly 30 non-profit medical, dental and school-based clinics. We ask everyone to pay what they can, but no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Our clinics are located in neighborhoods where health disparities are the greatest, and our care teams, who speak over 55 languages and dialects, are as diverse as our patients. No matter who you are, or where you come from, regardless of your insurance, income or immigration status, you are welcome at Neighborcare Health.

This week, we welcomed leaders from the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) at our Rainier Beach clinic, one of our largest sites that provides medical, dental, behavioral health, social work, midwifery, and many other services. NACHC met with several area community health centers to hear what is top of mind at our organizations and in our region as we head into 2025. Among many other activities, NACHC is a strong advocate for community health centers nationwide, and for ensuring equitable access to quality health care for all.

Kudos to our HR Team for an amazing new People Leader Orientation this year! 👏
This year, the Neighborcare Health HR Team wanted to focus on growing and empowering 💪🏾 leaders/people managers within our organization. We piloted a 6-week People Leader Orientation Training (PLOT) where we covered: ✅ Talent Acquisition ✅ Onboarding ✅ Common Manager Processes ✅ Development & Retentiom ✅ Performance Management ✅ Offboarding The past two Fridays, I partnered with my colleague 🤝, Nicole Imbriaco, Business Partner extraordinaire, to facilitate the final sessions of this leadership development program. Over the past 6 weeks, our investment in our leaders has paid off 💰. We’re seeing consistency in processes, effective and empathetic communication 🗣️and more confidence among staff. I am proud to have been part of such an amazing and rewarding project. Thank you to Tess Roth, PHR who is so knowledgeable and does whatever needs to be done to move initiatives forward, and to Katy Carey who drove this project to fruition and inspired us along the way.
