Did you know? A key mission of the Navy League of the United States is to enhance the morale of sea service personnel. Recently, the National Capital Council presented morale funding to Captain Klinger, the Commanding Officer at the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

  • Honored to attend another inspiring Veterans Day luncheon at the historic Missouri Athletic Club. It was a privilege to see so many local veterans recognized for their service and dedication. I was particularly moved by the guest speaker, Lieutenant General Jered Helwig, Deputy Commander of US Transportation Command, whose insights were a reminder of the strength and sacrifice of our military community. It was a proud moment to witness the Salute to Veterans and the Special Recognition Awards honoring Rocky Sickmann (USMC and a memorable speaker at my NJROTC Ball in 2016), Robert Gassoff (Navy SEAL and former NHL player), Larry Lock (Army veteran), and William Sei (Navy veteran). Grateful for moments like these that reinforce the importance of honoring our veterans and acknowledging their sacrifices. Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve our nation. #VeteransDay #Gratitude #HonoringOurHeroes

  • Today, I had the pleasure of touring ADM (Archer Daniels Midland) in St. Louis and presenting to their team about the United States Navy League—sharing insights on what we do and how we can support them. It was an honor to connect with so many veterans and dedicated employees who are deeply passionate about both military service and their work at ADM. A highlight of the day was riding the Mississippi River on the Cardinal Pride with Captain Tim at the helm. It was also wonderful to see some familiar faces from our recent Navy Ball in attendance. A big thank you to ADM for the warm welcome, the opportunity to speak, and the memorable tour! Navy League St. Louis Council

  • Honoring the Legacy of Scotty Wirtz. This past Saturday, September 7th, the Navy League St. Louis proudly sponsored a hole and a foursome at the Scotty Wirtz Memorial Golf Tournament. Scotty, a Navy SEAL and DIA officer, embodied the true spirit of service and sacrifice. His memory continues to inspire us all, and this tournament was a heartfelt tribute to his life and legacy. We would also like to take a moment to recognize two outstanding new members of the Navy League St. Louis, CDR Rob Stuart and CDR Mike Schmid. Their golfing prowess shone brightly during the tournament, and we are excited to have them as part of our growing community. A big thank you to everyone who participated and supported this event. Scotty’s legacy lives on through events like these, reminding us of the courage and dedication of those who serve our country. #ScottyWirtz #NavySEAL #DIATrueHero #NavyLeagueSTL #GolfingForAGoodCause

Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt sets his sights on transforming St. Louis into the defense technology capital of the nation. 👀🤝 “There’s no reason to believe that St. Louis can’t become the geospatial hub of the country, and I’m working to accomplish that exact goal,” said Schmitt. NGA’s new campus in north St. Louis and the National Geospatial Innovation Hub Advancement Act create this future #geospatial hub in the Midwest. 📰➡️ https://lnkd.in/eacVtgmB #NGAinSTL
