The Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Patrick Norman, a valued member of our community. Patrick served with distinction on the AFN Board of Directors, contributing his knowledge and leadership to advocate for the rights and well-being of Alaska Natives. In recognition of his commitment to preserving traditional hunting and fishing practices, he was honored with AFN's prestigious Katie John Hunter-Fisher Award in 2024. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations in our efforts to protect and promote our cultural heritage. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Patrick's family and friends during this difficult time.
