About us
Even though Sikhs have made great contributions to society like running major corporations, inventing fiber optics, and even claim the oldest athlete in the world these stories are never told. A majority of Americans cannot even accurately identify a Sikh. The few national conversations about Sikhism, have portrayed Sikhs as victims. The Sikh community needs to define who we are because we know: Sikh values are American values. As a result, the National Sikh Campaign is a data-driven, grassroots and media campaign that is being led with the help of top political strategists from the Obama and Hillary campaigns to build the image of Sikhs in America. The campaign is reaching to various Gurdwaras, Sikh organizations, and stakeholders within America and internationally to create the largest network of Sikhs and the most influential PR effort ever for Sikhism.

The first and only Sikh to become Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, has passed away at the age of 92. Manmohan Singh rescued India from financial collapse twice, created unprecedented economic growth, and brought a sense of diversity and inclusiveness. Manmohan Singh was mentioned in former U.S. President Barack Obama’s book as described by BBC: Mr. Obama recalls that when he met Manmohan Singh, he had told him that he feared ‘rising anti-Muslim sentiment had strengthened the influence of Hindu nationalist BJP,’ the main opposition party at the time. Mr. Singh had resisted calls to retaliate against Pakistan after gunmen attacked the financial capital Mumbai leaving 166 dead. But ‘this restraint had cost him politically,’ Mr. Obama writes. ‘In uncertain times, Mr. President, the call of religious and ethnic solidarity can be intoxicating.
