This #GivingTuesday, please consider donating and making a difference for the nearly 30 million people impacted by eating disorders in their lifetime. Eating disorders can affect anyone. It can take years for someone to get treatment for an eating disorder. We are working to change that. NEDA funds treatment research, provides education and resources and promotes early detection of eating disorders. Thanks for your support. https://lnkd.in/eAGEY72B

Last week, NEDA hosted it’s first National Eating Disorders Screening Week. With the help of partners Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) and Families for Depression Awareness we were able to screen over 2400 people for risk of an eating disorder and provide them resources to get help. Early detection of eating disorders can lead to improved recovery outcomes. Know someone who might benefit from taking an anonymous, confidential screening? National Eating Disorders Association reposted this
Last evening I had the opportunity to attend the “Gratitude and Grazing” event hosted by Rogers Behavioral Health. It was great to meet Nathan Butzen and Tina Willard, LPC, CPCS and other colleagues and share about our work at the National Eating Disorders Association. Looking forward to continuing to ensure that those with eating disorders and other behavioral health concerns are identified early and receive effective treatment. Thank you Sydney Scoggins for organizing a lovely event.
