  • We’re thrilled to offer an exclusive opportunity to own a piece of Phoebe Bridgers’ history, with items donated by Phoebe herself to support our mission. These one-of-a-kind items—an autographed Punisher vinyl and a rare Phoebe Bridgers Christmas sweater—are not just amazing collectibles but a way to contribute to something meaningful. All proceeds from this auction will help us continue empowering young people pursuing careers in the music and live entertainment industry.   Phoebe’s journey with us started back in 2012 when she performed at our Bringin' Down the House show at just 17 years old. Now, as an alum, she’s giving back by donating these incredible items to support the next generation of artists. Don’t miss your chance to own these exclusive pieces! We are looking for BMG Spring 2025 interns! Do you want to take your music industry career to the next level? You'll get hands-on experience in the music industry with the same company that works with artists like Halsey, Bruno Mars, Duran Duran, Slash, and more! You will have the experience of a lifetime as you work with industry pros and see how an artist's vision comes to life from start to finish. One of our recent interns, Camden Strickfaden said, "Throughout my time here, I've had the privilege of engaging with various facets of BMG's operations. From attending multiple staff meetings to participating in artist development sessions and US-recorded meetings, I've gained a comprehensive understanding of the company's inner workings. One particular highlight was collaborating closely on the release and marketing of music with an artist I deeply admire. Additionally, I contributed to international marketing initiatives for a prominent artist who recently released an album and accompanying movie." • We recently hosted our inaugural Blues SchoolHouse event at The Met Philadelphia presented by Highmark with over 300 students in attendance from the School District of Philadelphia! Blues SchoolHouse is a program that showcases the history of blues through an interactive, live musical presentation, highlighting its impact on music and American history from its roots all the way to the current music that we hear today. We are so proud of this program and cannot wait for all the years to come at The Met Philadelphia.

  • This week is #NationalApprenticeshipWeek and we are proud to be the nation's FIRST federally recognized apprenticeship program focused on music & live entertainment! Our innovative program transforms passionate music lovers into industry professionals through intensive skills training, one-on-one mentorship, hands-on experience, and professional development coaching. We're creating real pathways into the music industry from production to marketing and everything in between. "This historic apprenticeship program bridges training, education, and high-skill, high-wage jobs in music and live entertainment, addressing challenges around building an inclusive industry and cultivating its long-term sustainability,” explains our very own Executive Director Nurit Smith. Our apprenticeship program has received remarkable government support including being the recipient of a $500,000 California Opportunity Youth Apprenticeship (COYA) grants, one of the only dedicated to careers in the creative economy. Governor Gavin Newsom’s dedication to our apprenticeship program is exemplified by his statement: “California is committed to helping disadvantaged youth prepare for high-quality careers. Through our nation-leading career education efforts, we’re boosting apprenticeships throughout the state and across industries to help young people launch into the right career for them.” Without further ado, meet our apprentices, Gabriel Escalante & Kaije Rood at Show Imaging, Inc. as Warehouse Techs, Chloe Colligan and Troy White at Wasserman in Talent Coordination and Marketing respectively, Emily San Vicente at BRIC Foundation in Marketing and Breanna Flores at Music Forward in Special Events. “My experience has been incredible,” raves Wasserman apprentice Troy White. “My team has taught me tour marketing from the ground up, and my main takeaway is that being detail-oriented is the key to success in the agency space, no matter what department you are in, along with ambition!” Wasserman apprentice Chloe Colligan enthuses, “The experience has been really amazing, and I am so grateful for this opportunity! I think the main takeaway for me is seeing how the music industry operates first-hand, and it honestly surpassed my expectations.” Troy White Chloe Colligan Breanna Flores
