The Association Promoting Quality Rental Housing
About us
Founded in 1992, the Metro Multifamily Housing Association (MMHA) was created to represent residential property managers, owners, and vendors throughout Portland, Southern Washington, and down through the Willamette Valley to Medford. Our members manage over 200,000 units in these areas and represent every service related to the industry. In 2013, Metro Multifamily Housing Association became Multifamily NW to better reflect our diverse membership and affiliations. Multifamily NW is committed to promoting a high degree of professionalism for rental housing providers, owners and partners. We sponsor educational courses, deliver the most comprehensively reviewed set of forms in the state, and advocate to local and state governments on behalf of the industry to ensure our members the best operating environment possible.

Dear Multifamily NW Members, As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on what an extraordinary year it has been for our association. This year has been marked by incredible growth, progress, and success—none of which would have been possible without the unwavering support, engagement, and contributions of our valued members. Each of you have played an essential role in the success of not only our organization but also the multifamily housing industry across our state. From creating innovative and engaging networking and education events, to welcoming new members throughout Oregon, to prioritizing our advocacy efforts during the election year at the local, state, and federal levels—your participation in and commitment to our association has been the cornerstone of our achievements. It has been an honor to work alongside such a dedicated group of professionals including the staff at Multifamily NW, the committee members, our Board of Directors, and all our members and colleagues I’ve connected with throughout the year. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together, and I look forward to everything we will achieve together in 2025. Wishing you all a safe, joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year! Thank you, Andie Smith Pacific Urban Investors 2024 Multifamily NW Board President

Thank you to our outstanding MFNW Service Committee and our members for your generosity! Lisa Rose, Kristen Davies, Natalie O., and Shawntel Campbell visited Janus Youth Programs and other organizations that were part of this year's Project Care to deliver some holiday cheer.
Project Care has officially come to a close and now the MFNW Service Committee get to spread holiday cheer to local organizations in need that we are supporting this year. Though the generous donations of the MFNW members we raised almost $7,000 in an effort to provide gifts to all of the current youth at Janus Youth Programs. Janus Youth helps about 4000 youth each year in Oregon and SW Washington that are currently houseless or are at risk of being houseless. Through the member doantions we have been able to help many youth through his holiday season On behalf of the Service Committee and Multifamily NW we extend our sincere thanks to everyone that contributed to making a difference for these youth! ✨ #ProjectCare #MultifamilyNW #TheLibertyGroup #GivingBack #JanusYouth

Thanks to Lillian Mongeau Hughes for covering this important issue. What the county report fails to address is any meaningful evaluation of the root cause of housing instability, which is the rapidly increasing cost of providing it — especially in Multnomah County. Rent assistance, while a critical tool that we wholeheartedly support, is just a band-aid. Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/gvqHS87z

The team headed south yesterday to celebrate at the MWV's Holiday Party in Salem. Guests enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere full of cheer to catch up with friends and colleagues, test their skills at the game tables, and fill up on delicious snacks and savories. Everyone brought food to donate to the Marion Polk Food Share and the group made donations to the Paralyzed Veterans of America Tri-State Chapter. Learn more about the PVA and the important work at tristatepva.org. Next stop, Eugene! See you there 🎄
