MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) was founded in 1937 to help our members achieve financial success and stability during tough economic times, a purpose we have remained dedicated to ever since. Today, we have 23 locations, including five in Oakland County, one in downtown Detroit, two in Grand Rapids, and two in Traverse City. Our Mission: To provide superior service while assisting members and employees to achieve financial security, their goals, and ultimately, their dreams. Last year, our employees volunteered 1,534 hours and donated more than $260,000 of their own money to support local organizations. Financial Education: We also provide free financial education to community members of all ages. We believe that empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, including their finances, makes a stronger community. Our financial education team offers year-round seminars and presentations on topics including budgeting, buying a home, retirement planning, and credit report awareness among others. The new branch will feature innovative technology to digitally serve our team around the clock, space for in-person meetings, by appointment and new loans. “MSUFCU has been a dedicated partner in the health of our community since their first gift to the Sparrow Foundation in 1994,” said Margaret Dimond, Ph.D., Regional President at University of Michigan Health. “Our team members appreciate the easy access to their accounts along with financial guidance on topics like savings, money markets, retirement and more.”

The third #MSUFCU Culture of Finances graduation ceremony took place last night, marking a significant milestone in our 12-week program. We began with 139 registered participants and are thrilled to announce that 68 graduates successfully completed the program. The Culture of Finances program is specifically designed to empower individuals with the necessary tools to overcome financial challenges and cultivate healthy financial habits. Our participants did the work! We recognize that it takes a community to drive real change and make an impact. I would like to extend gratitude to the community partners who showed up and shared their resources to further support the graduates success.
