Happy First Day of Winter! ❄️ As winter arrives, it brings with it crisp air, serene snowy landscapes, and a chance to pause and reflect. While the days may be shorter and the temperatures cooler, this season reminds us to slow down, recharge, and appreciate nature’s quiet beauty. Even in winter, spending time outdoors can work wonders for mental health. Whether it’s a brisk walk, watching snowflakes drift down, or simply taking in the stillness of a frosty morning, nature has the ability to calm our minds, boost our spirits, and foster a deeper connection to the world around us. This winter, let’s embrace the opportunity to reset and refocus. Bundle up, step outside, and experience the healing power of nature—it’s a gift that keeps on giving. How do you enjoy the outdoors during the winter months? Let’s inspire each other by sharing in the comments! #MountainValorFoundation #FirstDayOfWinter #MentalHealthMatters #NatureHeals #WinterWellness

About us
Mountain Valor Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering veterans, active service members, and first responders through transformative experiences and robust support. With a deep commitment to those who have served, our mission is to make a lasting impact on the mental health and well-being of those who have sacrificed for our freedom. Our Mission: We aim to raise awareness of PTSD, prevent veteran suicide, and build a strong, connected veteran community. We achieve this through immersive retreats and an active online support network. Our retreats offer veterans a chance to reset and heal in the serene landscapes of Colorado, engaging in therapeutic activities like camping, fishing, and hunting. Meanwhile, our live Discord community provides ongoing support and fosters camaraderie among veterans across the nation. Our Purpose: Mountain Valor Foundation strives to restore hope, honor, and resilience to veterans, helping them navigate the challenges of life after service. We work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health in the veteran community, offering the tools and support needed for recovery and growth. Our Values: Commitment: We are dedicated to providing continuous support and resources to those who serve and have served. Integrity: We operate with transparency, ensuring every action benefits our veterans and the communities we serve. Community: We believe in the power of connection and the strength of a united, supportive network. Empowerment: We offer opportunities for growth, healing, and personal development, enabling veterans to regain control of their lives. As we grow, we seek passionate individuals and partners to join us. Whether through volunteering, donations, or participation, your support helps us make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and first responders. Join us in empowering those who have sacrificed for our freedom. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient community.

Mountains, mission, and camaraderie. Our first Mountain Valor retreat brought together military and first responders in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. From team-building challenges to moments of reflection surrounded by nature, this retreat was about more than just the breathtaking views — it was about rebuilding strength, trust, and purpose. Every step on those trails reminded us of the importance of community, resilience, and having each other’s six. Learn more about our mission and how you can support at www.mountainvalor.org. Whether it’s a share, a like, or a donation, every action helps us bring this experience to more heroes. We’re stronger together. Thank you for standing with us.

💙 Check On Your Buddies This Holiday Season 💙 As the holidays near, it’s a time of joy for many, but it can also be a challenging time for many of our brothers and sisters. This is a time when connections matter more than ever. If someone has been on your mind lately, don’t wait. Send that text. Make that call. Check in on them. A simple “How are you doing?” or “I was just thinking about you” can go a long way in showing someone they’re not alone. The bonds we share are strong, and sometimes just hearing from a buddy can brighten someone’s day or even change their path. Remember, we’re all in this together. Let’s lift each other up and make sure no one feels forgotten during this season. Stay safe, stay connected, and stay strong. 💪 If you ever need a listening ear, we’re here for you too. #CheckOnYourBuddies #VeteransSupport #WeAreStrongerTogether

Mountain Valor Foundation spent this weekend supporting and honoring the Jorge Pastore Foundation. Jorge was an honored member of the Austin swat that was killed in the line of duty one year ago today. 7000 people showed up to his funeral which exemplifies his character and the impact he made on so many people's lives. Kim Pastore has made incredible strides to ensure that his legacy lives on. We are incredibly thrilled to be partnering with Kim to help bring even more impact to what she has already achieved.
