  • In celebration of Recovery Month, the Mosaic Group proudly presented Thaddeus Wientzen with the distinguished Beacon of Hope Award, recognizing his exceptional contributions as a Peer Recovery Coach. This prestigious award honors individuals who have been beacons of hope, guiding countless individuals along their journey to recovery.   As the Overdose Survivors Outreach Program coach at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Thaddeus plays a vital role in supporting patients not only in the emergency department and inpatient units but also within the community. He meets patients where they are, providing compassionate care and helping to prevent further harm from substance and alcohol use. His tireless dedication has made a profound impact on those in need, illuminating the path to healing and recovery.   MedStar Health System has demonstrated its commitment to excellent patient care and innovation by integrating a comprehensive hospital substance use model across all nine hospitals. The Mosaic Group, represented by Dawn Brown, Director of Behavioral Health, Iesha Brown-Pygatt, Senior Behavioral Health Consultant, and La Tany Hill, Program Specialist, joined Thaddeus for the award presentation.   • Congratulations to Rodney James on receiving the Beacon of Hope Award from Mosaic Group! Rodney, pictured here with Mosaic Group's Founder and CEO Marla Oros and Director of Behavioral Health Dawn Brown, is a Peer Recovery Coach at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital. Since the launch of the Reverse the Cycle ( https://lnkd.in/ePKpEuqu ) initiative six years ago, Rodney has been a steadfast champion of recovery, providing hope, support, and guidance to individuals and families on their recovery journey. At the ceremony, Rodney was joined by Abigail Bunting, Community Outreach Manager and Rodney’s Peer Supervisor, along with many of his colleagues in Care Management and from the Emergency Department. It was a celebration of shared commitment and teamwork in advancing the health and wellbeing of the community. Rodney’s unwavering dedication and passion make a profound difference in the lives of those he serves. Roger has been pivotal in supporting patients at Grant Memorial Hospital and WVU MEDICINE POTOMAC VALLEY HOSPITAL, providing critical peer intervention services. His leadership has been instrumental in developing the peer workforce at Potomac Highlands Guild, filling a vital need in West Virginia’s rural communities. Zach is a member of Preston Memorial Hospital’s Recovery Care Program, and supports patients in the emergency department, inpatient care and outpatient programs. Mon Health was the first in West Virginia to implement Reverse the Cycle, with Zach involved from the start. With unwavering commitment and empathy, they transform lives by applying their lived experience and formal training to provide tools, hope, and inspiration to persons who use drugs and seek a better tomorrow.
