👏Congrats to the MOJO Strategic Communications team for helping #client Angel's Envy secure the #12 spot on Whisky Advocate’s prestigious 2024 Top 20 List with their 2023 Cask Strength Bourbon! This recognition is particularly remarkable given its $230 price point and limited availability. Master Distiller Owen Martin’s expert blending wowed the panel, earning this standout whiskey a well-deserved place on the list. This accolade is more than a win- it’s a career highlight for our team, and we couldn’t be prouder. Seeing our clients succeed at this level is why we do what we do! Be sure to check out the write-up, where the Whisky Advocate team hails it as “a beacon of excitement, highlighting the pinnacle of a year filled with remarkable tastings.” Cheers to this incredible achievement 🥃 🎉

👋Meet Ben Crist leader of our 🚀 UX/UI team. Let’s all cross our fingers he can stay speeding ticket free 🏎️ “I’m a UX director. I’m responsible for planning and executing UX design projects with our client partners. As the director my role is a little more higher level and typically involves guidance for other team members who are individual contributors. My role also entails hiring, career management, business development, and internal processes for our team. I started at MOJO in July of 2018. I really enjoy working on vision projects, collaborating with clients to imagine new, ideal experiences for their customers that aren’t yet grounded in reality. This is a fun space to be creative in that pushes the boundaries on feasibility so it’s always interesting to watch it go from provocative to a more realistic version by the time it’s really being designed and built. A fun fact about myself is that I’ve never gotten a speeding ticket and I’m almost always speeding. Probably just jinxed myself.”

Summertime, and the livin’s easy… or is it? On average in the US, ~30% of PTO goes unused 👀 The importance of rest to creativity, physical and mental health (and overall performance) has been well researched. Just planning a vacation can boost your mood! As we wind down summer, we wanted to give ourselves a rest report card at MOJO. We are proud to report that in 2023 🌟🌟 over 100% of PTO time was utilized at MOJO 🌟 🌟 (including well deserved roll over from the COVID years). This is in addition to our company wide end of year closure and bank holidays. And, we are on track for similar usage in 2024! From beaches to cities to beignets to drawing and painting... sharing some pics of how we’ve spent our “summer vacations.”

🌟 Meet a part of the powerhouse team behind our strategic communications at MOJO! This team member's creativity and dedication keep our clients ahead of the curve. "My name is Betsy Kaplan, and I’m the Associate Director of Strategic Communications at MOJO. In my role, I manage strategic communications planning and execution for clients in the consumer and lifestyle sectors. Day-to-day, I specialize in developing strategic pitch angles for media that are timely, creative, and relevant, act as the key client team liaison, and project manager for our internal team. I started at MOJO one year ago on July 10, 2023! Since starting with MOJO, I’ve been able to play an integral role in client product launches, activations, and strategies. My first big (and one of the most memorable) projects I’ve had the privilege of working on was Angel’s Envy’s first-ever Cask Strength Rye, where we made a big splash with the press and produced a unique event in NYC to showcase the new liquid and introduce the world to the brand’s Master Distiller, Owen Martin. Much more to come from the iconic brand this year, so stay tuned! Before MOJO, I was always on larger PR teams where I felt like I had to “fight” for work and to be seen. With a smaller team here, I’ve grown immensely as a leader, collaborator, and PR professional, and I can’t wait to see where my career with MOJO continues to take me. A fun fact about me is that I will go on any rollercoaster (I’ve even been skydiving) but will not step foot in a haunted house. There’s only room for one category of thrill with me!"

Congrats to the TD Securities Westminster Research team on the launch and growth of the Westminster Research commission tracking application 🙌 This tool allows users to track and analyze trade commission data in a wide variety of ways. It’s highly visual, customizable, and built using an API-first approach. At MOJO, we think a lot about designing experiences and communications for very focused and often technical audiences (ranging from institutional investors to marketplace sellers). Our work often centers around making the increasingly important systems (and, in this case building the system) that aggregate data or other assets more accessible via thoughtful design. One experienced-based learning that came to life throughout this work is that building such a powerful software platform for a focused and experienced audience gives us more latitude with expected patterns across the platform. Tactical example: With targeted onscreen text, we can use technical language without necessarily including a tooltip. Special shout out to Nate deKanter for the leadership throughout this 3 year+ engagement. And, to Magan Arthur, Matt Crandall, CSM, John Cardosi, Matthew Kennedy, and 🎨 Christopher Kirk-Nielsen from the MOJO team for their continued dedication to this work.

From content creation to ADA compliance to optimization of design to code (#figmaconfig2024 👀), AI is driving efficiency gains for designers and developers 🙌🏼 Beyond testing and leveraging emerging tools to improve our processes and clients, we’ve also been excited about concepting fully adaptive software interfaces. “In a world where the UI is adaptive to the user's intention, interfaces could become just-in-time composition of components through a simple prompt, or inferred from prior actions, rather than navigating through nested menus and fields.” (https://lnkd.in/dxx_2mM2) Clip from Gemini: https://lnkd.in/gH7Z2PV7
