Have you ever wondered what an MRI scan does? Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses powerful magnets and radio waves to create detailed images of your body’s internal structures—no radiation involved! However, MRI scans do take longer than other scans and require you to remain very still for the duration of the scan. They are best for soft tissues like the brain, muscles, ligaments, and organs. #Radiology #Healthcare #HealthcareEducation #NeuroRad #PedsRad #radiologist #MSKRad

Lets stay safe this winter! Icy sidewalks and roads can lead to slips, trips, and falls—but many winter injuries are preventable! Wearing sturdy shoes and boots, salting walkways and driveways, and taking smaller steps can all help reduce injury this winter. If an injury does occur, our radiology team is here to provide fast and accurate imaging for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Stay safe, stay warm, and let’s make this winter accident-free! #Radiology #HealthcareHeros #Healthcare #RadLeaders #radiologist #ACR #InjuryPrevention

Michigan’s medical liability laws are at risk. HB 6085 and HB 6086 would raise costs, drive physicians out of the state, and threaten patient access to care. These bills could undo critical reforms, bringing back excessive lawsuits, higher premiums, and defensive medicine practices. Take action today. Urge your legislators to vote NO on HB 6085 and HB 6086. Let’s keep healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone. CT scans provide detailed images of the inside of your body, helping radiologists identify conditions like fractures, tumors, or internal bleeding. Not all CT scans are with contrast, and not all contrast tests require you to drink a liquid before the imaging exam. Your CT report will describe the images using terms like ""normal,"" ""abnormal,"" or ""unremarkable."" This helps pinpoint any areas that need or may need attention. Feel free to ask your doctor or radiologist if you have questions. We're here to help you understand your results so you can make informed decisions about your health. #Radiology #HealthcareHeros #Healthcare #RadLeaders #radiologist #ACR #RadiologyExplained #PatientCare
