About us
Miracles for Kids is one of the only organizations on the West Coast providing monthly financial assistance and subsidized housing to families who are fighting for their child’s life. A recent Harvard study concluded that the number one reason people go bankrupt is medical bills, even though 72% of families filing for bankruptcy had major medical insurance. Miracles for Kids helps critically-ill children and their families stay strong and together, by keeping the lights on and a roof over their heads. Based in Southern California, the organization was founded in 2002 and continues to expand its reach by serving children receiving treatment at four leading hospitals: CHOC Children’s in Orange, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA and Benioff Children’s Hospital in the Bay Area. In addition to paying bills and housing families at Miracle Manor - which is located less than a mile from CHOC - the organization provides crisis counseling, medical care and a variety of other supports to ensure that families have their basic needs met during the most emotionally excruciating time in their lives. 🎁 Grateful for Our Holiday Basket of Miracles Community 🎁 This holiday season, we were overwhelmed by the generosity and support of our corporate partners and volunteers who came together to give our families a holiday to remember. As we reflect on the joy and impact created, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to the amazing organizations that made this possible: ✨ Serve First Solutions, Inc.: Thank you for your steadfast partnership! In addition to sponsoring our Night of Miracles Gala, Serve First brought a dozen employees to help sort and prepare clothing donations, ensuring our families received additional essentials this season. Your efforts truly made a difference. ✨ Catalysis Capital Management: Your team of over a dozen volunteers brought dedication and energy, helping sort donations and wrap gifts for our families. We are so grateful for your support! ✨ AbbVie: With over 40 employees across three days, your incredible team helped us with everything from pre-sorting donation items and packaging/labeling supplemental gifts, to gift wrapping. Your ongoing commitment to our mission is inspiring. AbbVie supported the Holiday Basket of Miracles program with 3 separate groups of AbbVie employees from various offices across Southern California, totaling 40+ employees, who joined us to help us prepare for the main event. Thank you! ✨ Z SUPPLY: Your generosity through the Adopt-a-Family program and clothing donations ensured our families were cared for and celebrated this holiday season. We are so grateful for your partnership! ✨ Adams & Associates: Your team’s community spirit was unmatched. With nearly 60 volunteers, you adopted 15 families and delivered gifts to 10 of them directly, wrapping and sharing the joy with 62 individuals. You’ve made an unforgettable impact. Tim Adams 🎄 And to Banner Attorneys, who brought both holiday cheer and the Grinch to help us sort and prepare donations, thank you for your enthusiastic support! This holiday season reminded us of the power of community. Together, you helped us deliver hope, joy, and necessities to families in need. Over 8,000 gifts were wrapped by 219 volunteers, who gave an extraordinary 523 hours of their time to ensure the program’s success. Thank you for helping us make miracles happen in 2024 - we look forward to an even brighter 2025! #HolidayMiracles #MiraclesForKids #CommunitySupport #ThankYou

🎁 Thank You Experian for Supporting our Miracle Families this Holiday Season 🎁 This holiday season, we are deeply grateful for the incredible team at Experian and their ASPIRE Employee Resource Group for their dedication to helping the families of Miracles for Kids. ASPIRE embodies the spirit of giving year-round, volunteering and fundraising to support children battling illness and disability.
