The Minnesota Department of Health is launching the INSPIRE (Introducing Students to Public Health Initiatives, Rooted in Experiences) Program in January=. Our Career and College Success Division is holding a virtual session at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 for students and their families to learn about how students can earn college credit while in high school. They will discuss Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses, and explain the differences between Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) and College in the High School. They will also discuss some benefits of the different programs and courses, eligibility requirements, and how to access these options. Hmong, Spanish and Somali interpretation is available. Eligible districts, charter schools, intermediate districts and cooperatives may apply for the adult or secondary students pathway. Grow Your Own programs are partnerships between educator preparation programs, school districts or charter schools, and community organizations that recruit and prepare local community members to enter the teaching profession and teach in their communities.
