In a special event, Michael’s House Treatment Center celebrated 35 years of helping those suffering from substance use, as well as paid tribute to the founder, Arlene Goodstein Rosen! In 1989, Arlene founded Michael’s House after losing her son, Michael, to a drug overdose. She then devoted her life to the treatment center bearing her son’s name. The celebration also highlighted Michael’s House Alumni speakers, Ken F. and Lano W., a beautiful musical offering, “The Impossible Dream,” by Ace F., and special awards to employees, Jorge G. and Jose O., for 17 years of service. The mission today is still the same as it was when Arlene founded Michael's House, to provide hope and recovery for those affected by substance use and mental health issues. Removing the stigma associated with mental heath issues is important to help individuals seek treatment. Our team was proud to walk with NAMI Coachella Valley this weekend to support the many services they provide to our community and the individuals affected by mental health issues. At Michael’s House, we provide treatment for co-occurring mental health issues while simultaneously treating addiction, which leads to life-long recovery. For more information about our programs, call 760-450-9001 or visit http://spklr.io/6049xe4c.
