Fight Like a Man for Men's Health
About us
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Michigan Men’s Health Foundation is dedicated to men’s health advocacy and the awareness, education, research and treatment of prostate cancer and men’s health related issues. The Michigan Men’s Health Foundation was formed in 2008 by Dr. Michael Lutz and his colleagues to help men improve their health. At the time, there was an unmet need for early detection of treatable diseases in urban males. Since its inception, the Michigan Men’s Health Foundation has been committed to promoting urban men's health through awareness, education, research, screening, treatment and advocacy. Today, there continues to be an unmet need for early detection of treatable diseases in urban males. Our programs have been instrumental in helping meet this need in Michigan and we have become a recognized leader in men’s health advocacy both locally and nationally. Over the years, we have developed and documented a community-based model of programs that has resulted in thousands of urban men getting screened for treatable diseases and educating them about preventative health care. Our proven model and programs are repeatable and scalable for any urban environment to increase early screenings of treatable diseases and improve overall men’s health.
