In a 2023 survey, while 63% of medical imaging practitioners said they had received cybersecurity training, just 38% actually felt confident about their ability to respond in a security incident. Cyberattacks in healthcare are inevitable; a lack of confidence and preparedness for clinicians – and the impacts on patient care and communication across practices – doesn’t have to be. Watch Merge’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Raj Chopra speak with Diagnostic Imaging® about this issue, and what imaging organizations and vendor partners alike can do better to improve their communications to help raise the confidence and responsiveness of their clinicians during a cybersecurity incident. https://lnkd.in/gBHQSi64

#EnterpriseImaging has emerged as a pivotal innovation helping to transform the way healthcare organizations manage and utilize their imaging data. We’ve worked with our colleagues at Carle Health on a new joint whitepaper that shares lessons learned from their enterprise imaging project to integrate imaging data from all 8 hospitals in their system. You’ll learn about how Dr. Doug Morton, a practicing neuroradiologist at Carle Health, and Kelly Oppe, RT(R), MBA, the organization’s Clinical Imaging Director, successfully led a multi-functional team through a transformative initiative – and how that effort, in partnership with Merge, enabled Carle Health to unify imaging data across multiple hospital sites, enable cross-enterprise care collaboration, and image-enable their patient portals. How is your enterprise imaging journey going? Does Carle Health’s pre-Merge story sound a little like yours? Check out how their journey went for fresh inspiration on how to manage yours successfully. https://lnkd.in/eYiFKXkP

This week at #RSNA24, Merge Chief Medical Officer Dr. Raj Chopra gave a captivating talk about the clinical view on #cybersecurity – offering a practicing radiologist’s point of view on why cybersecurity is so important to healthcare delivery, and why it is just as relevant to clinicians as it is to IT. But if you happened to miss the session, you’re in luck: Dr. Chopra has published a new article with his full thoughts on steps that #imaging practices can take to restore their clinicians’ cybersecurity confidence. Check out the piece, published in MedCity News, for more on the steps that healthcare providers can take – both internally and with the support of outside partners – to boost their security capabilities and the confidence of their clinicians in the event of a cyberattack. https://lnkd.in/gpPzPXaP

Check out this clip of Dr. Chopra, Merge's Chief Medical Officer, sharing his unique clinical POV on how radiologists can best prepare on cybersecurity. Stay tuned for the full interview with Healthcare IT Today.
Day 2 at #RSNA24 was full of learning. Raj Chopra, MD from Merge by Merative shared his thoughts on how radiologists need to be ready for the next cybersecurity incident. Samir Shah, MD, MMM FACR from Qure.ai educated me on the need for, and complexities of getting FDA approval for AI technology. The PocketHealth lunch and learn had many great quotes and one very surprising statistic (HOW many providers still use CDs for image transfer???) In the exhibit hall, I learned about Micro-X who has built a portable x-ray machine that is small enough to fit in an standard ambulance. I also learned that Nova Scotia Health Authority is looking to attract RadTechs to the province. Here is my video summary of Day 2 at #RSNA24

Is your #imaging workspace missing any of these features? • Personalizable user interface • All-in-one worklist that is sortable, filterable, stackable • #Cloud-native foundation for “read anywhere” access, streamlined upgrades, and dependable uptime • SLAs built into the worklist, so you know which cases need attention and when • AI-assisted study distribution engine to make caseloads more equitable • Information-rich workspaces that have access to patient data and AI insights What if care teams could have a single workspace experience that does all of that, as well as simplify reading and enable collaboration across the enterprise? This year at #RSNA24 we are highlighting innovations that support clinicians. Merge Workflow Orchestrator reimagines the imaging workspace, unifying worklists seamlessly across systems for a single productive environment that creates the delightful user experience that is long overdue for physicians and care teams. Book a meeting to chat with us with at #RSNA24, booth #6100, to learn more about how Merge is making the reading experience more thoughtful and delightful for clinicians like you. https://lnkd.in/e-8aTadm
