Celebrating Excellence at the Golden Bell Awards We’re proud to honor Lance Corporal Carlos S., U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, as this year’s recipient of the Highest Achievement Award at the Golden Bell Awards. Carlos’s journey is one of resilience and transformation. After being referred to MHALA’s Military Resource Center by the Department of Veterans Affairs, he secured housing and vital resources that allowed him to pursue his MBA at Pepperdine University and secure an internship. Carlos’s story reminds us that recovery requires resilience and the courage to embrace second chances. For his leadership, perseverance, and commitment to giving back, we celebrate him today.
