Last Sunday, MedVet Diley Hill celebrated the grand opening of our brand-new, state-of-the-art veterinary emergency hospital with a community open house that was nothing short of magical! 💫 Guests were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of our advanced hospital, where they met our dedicated caregiving team and learned about the cutting-edge technology and compassionate care we offer. The evening was brightened by a beautiful outdoor holiday light display, and all the dogs in attendance enjoyed delicious pup cups. Families added their pets to our naughty or nice list and took part in a fun dog treat decoration station. The next day we saw the arrival of our very first patient, Kya (pictured below). Her owners noticed swelling around her back end and brought her in for a check-up. Dr. Kirk Forte diagnosed Kya with a vaginal prolapse, a condition where the inner lining of the vagina protrudes through the vulva, often caused by hormonal changes during her first heat cycle. Kya was treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, and her family received educational resources to help prevent future issues. Despite the medical concern, Kya was a sweet and patient girl, and we are thrilled to see her on the road to recovery. Rest assured, our expert caregivers, open hours, address, and contact information remain the same with this new hospital opening.
