Whether you're early in your career or more experienced, your insights and knowledge in the medtech industry can provide valuable support to those navigating their own career journeys. Read the feedback below from one of this year's mentees, Emily Morris. “I am incredibly grateful for my experience with the mentorship program at MedtechWOMEN this year. The program had a thoughtful intake process to ensure that mentees and mentors were well-matched. My mentor, Angela Frederickson, is a priceless resource and support. She openly shares her unique perspective and years of experience, whether we are discussing technical topics or professional growth. Angela provides encouragement, while challenging me to adapt my mindset to my evolving roles and responsibilities. I walk away from every discussion feeling refreshed, energized, and empowered. I appreciate her approach, which emphasizes utilizing existing strengths when problem solving. This approach is consistent with the mentorship program’s philosophy and the tools shared with participants, including training opportunities. Whether you are seeking professional support or have wisdom to share (or both), I highly recommend participation in this program.” Heidi Glasser, Medicines360, Nicolle Cannon, Amanda French, Kristin (Iadarola) Havranek, Roma Pérez, Annie Brantigan, Catherine L., Lisa Carmel, Kate J. MedtechWOMEN is now accepting applications for Mentors for the 2025 MedtechWOMEN Mentorship Program! Nurturing the next generations of female leaders is foundational to MedtechWOMEN's mission and vision. Mentorship is valuable at every career stage, and anyone can be a mentor. Whether you're early in your career or more experienced, your insights and knowledge in the medtech industry can provide valuable support to those navigating their own career journeys. Please consider volunteering your time as a mentor in the 2025 Mentorship Program. Click here for details and to apply https://lnkd.in/gzt8BNR3 Read the feedback below from one of this year's mentees, Sara Bender "As I started 2024 in January planning my calendar, goals and development opportunities, I was really feeling like I needed a mentor, especially someone outside of my company. I was really looking for someone to be a sounding board to help me work through not just my day to day leadership challenges, but also help me think bigger about my future and career pathways. I was so grateful to get the email from MedtechWOMEN calling for participation in the mentorship program. It was as if they read my mind! The process was seamless. A simple application form with immediate follow up on next steps. I was matched with four potential stellar mentors and was able to meet virtually to see which one could be a match. I have to say, any of these women would have been an asset to have as a mentor. All four were very different with interesting and impressive backgrounds, but I chose my mentor, Shanthi Ramakrishnan, based on our similar career pathways and common experiences at similar companies. This year we’ve met every other month for an hour or so and were able to meet in person when I was on a business trip. To be honest, it’s been a lifesaver. I don’t think I realized how much I needed an outside perspective, especially a female one with extensive executive experience. Through our relationship I have gained more confidence in dealing with the Board and with my CEO. We’ve talked extensively about career positioning, outside resources to seek, and relationships to build. She’s also just been such a friend and amazing listener as I’ve shared many ups and downs with her over the year. As I reflect on 2024, this mentorship opportunity is one of my brightest highlights and has propelled me into new ways of thinking and has helped me explore opportunities that were previously not on my horizon. I cannot say enough good things about my mentor, and am so grateful to MedtechWOMEN for this program and making the connection. Thank you!" Big thanks to the esteemed panel - Erin Carnish, Marcie Dewalt, Ali Arom and Stacy Hostetler - who spoke at our latest MedtechWOMEN event in Minnesota - Level Up: Navigating Career Growth and Team Leadership. It was an evening filled with conversation and important insights as we manage our careers, find the best talent for our teams and continue to grow as leaders. The panel reminded us to build our networks internally and externally, mentor and sponsor others, remain curious, always answer the calls from recruiters, do great work and, most importantly, ensure your work stays fun! A few quotes to remember: Bet on yourself. The more I bet on me the more other people feel confident to do the same. Marcie Dewalt (For introverts) Think about a networking event in terms of specific goals you are trying to achieve - what are you trying to get out of the event? You don’t have to exhaust yourself. Just get in and accomplish your goals. Stacy Hostetler Ask yourself, what am I trying to contribute? What am I trying to change in the world? Erin Carnish People don't have to come to the job with a 100% of the skills. There are things you can learn. Finding a cultural fit is more important than having the exact skills. Ali Arom And most importantly - What would you do if you weren’t afraid? Marcie Dewalt We also collected 93 articles of women's lightly used business attire for Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners! An incredible gift to women in need this holiday season. And finally, tremendous gratitude for the incredible planning team - Anna McVittie Szafranski, Lindsey Hanson, MBA, Ravyn Miller, Archana Desai, Nick Manty and Katie Eisler. Happy holidays to all! #womeninbusiness, #networking, #navigatingCareer

Click here for details and to apply https://lnkd.in/gzt8BNR3 Read the feedback below from one of this year's mentors, Shanthi Ramakrishnan! "Serving as a volunteer mentor always prompts a self-reflective question of "do I want to make a commitment again?" Quick answers surface: reciprocal generosity of mentors and mentees who share and alter perspectives, challenge assumptions and offer a sanctuary to hold difficult conversations, expand mindsets and unlock opportunities, reassure and cheer each other up, have fun, and profoundly impact life journeys, including career orchestration. Yet, underneath, there is an unabashed joy, pride and reward of seeing a mentee succeed, overcome challenges with grace and determination, and address self-doubts. Observing a mental shift or a spark being lit, building personal connections and long-lasting relationships arouse confidence in the next set of women leaders. Most importantly, mentoring deepens my resolve to sustain this symbiotic cycle and help advance MedtechWOMEN's vision. I had the privilege of getting to know Sara Bender through the mentoring program. Her keen intellect, intuition, infectious energy, warmth and indomitable spirit of owning her career and life is inspirational. Sara's clarity about her broader leadership aspirations and focused objectives made our time together productive with several cherished moments and beneficial insights. There is no doubt that she will succeed in actualizing her dreams and those of others. I look forward to seeing and hearing more about Sara's accomplishments and the positive impact she will make. Special kudos and thanks to the MedtechWOMEN for your sustained commitment to delivering mentoring programs. The question of "do I want to commit to mentoring?" should no longer arise for anyone." Shanthi Ramakrishnan is the founder of an advisory and an operating firm, Ignite Growth, serving growth stage, deep-tech ventures. Specialization includes setting growth and profitability strategy, developing technological innovations, and executing global commercialization tactics.
