Students from the Warsaw Area Career Center-WACC's RAMP program visited Medartis this month for a unique hands-on experience created by our manufacturing team. Students made candy cane ornaments from bar stock by referencing blueprints, loading stock into a mill, manually bending the pieces and using a laser engraving machine to customize their creations. Students then put their handiwork through an inspection process before labeling, wrapping and taking them home. 🎉 Holiday Week at Medartis! 🎉 To celebrate the holiday season and mark the conclusion of a successful 2024, the Medartis team came together for a week of festive activities, allowing everyone at the site to join in the celebration! 🍪 On Tuesday, we kicked things off with a Holiday Cookie Decorating Activity. Our team got creative (and a little competitive) preparing these yummy treats and the beautifully decorated cookies were shared at Thursday’s Holiday Party! 🎁 On Wednesday, we delivered collected donations to the Beaman Home, a local organization aimed to provide shelter, support, and essential services to women and children in need as they rebuild their lives free from abuse. In this season of giving, it’s more important than ever to remember the impact we can have on those around us. Giving back to the community fosters a sense of connection, kindness, and hope, reminding us all that we are stronger together. Thank you to every employee that contributed to this effort! 🎄 On Thursday, we wrapped up the week with a fantastic Medartis Holiday Party! Highlights included: 🛠 Creating personalized Medartis candy cane ornaments using our production floor equipment (personalized laser-etched names included!). 🍽 Sharing a delicious potluck lunch 👕 The Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest 🎉 And of course, we had a blast with Holiday Trivia and Bingo hosting by our incredible MC Dave Temple resulting in fun prizes and lots of laughter! We’re so grateful for our Medartis team and their hard work throughout the year. This was a great way to close out the season and celebrate together! Yesterday, Medartis met with surgeon members of the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Fellows Journal Club in Indianapolis. The group discussed the latest approaches and innovative solutions to scaphoid fractures including the APTUS Scaphoid Plate from Medartis.
