Meet long-term care planner Kristin Daugherty, who we've had the pleasure of working with since 2011! Her additional accolades include Certified Dementia Practitioner, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer, and Certified Trainer through Second Wind Dreams.  She absolutely loves coming to work every day – she really doesn't feel like it is a job. She attributes this to two reasons: "1. Our team at SGY – we are so lucky to have team members that are compassionate and dedicated to helping the families we work with. Everyone is willing to go above and beyond. 2. I'm passionate about helping families during difficult times. Planning for the second half of life can be overwhelming, scary, and very challenging to navigate. I love to use my knowledge and experience to take the pressure from the families so they can focus on being a spouse, child, loved one, etc." A fun fact about Kristin, "Outside of work – I am completely consumed with my kids’ activities – which I love! You will almost always find us at a baseball field or at the farm with our horses. Interestingly – I do not ride horses – my daughter loves to ride (and would spend every waking moment with her horses), but you will not catch me riding! I love the horses and appreciate them with my two feet on the ground. :)" The firm partners are Kristin's biggest inspirations. "Julie, Landon, and Jenna each bring something unique to the firm, including their knowledge, drive, and commitment to our clients. More importantly, though, is that each of them cares deeply for the families we help. This reflects across the SGY team and fosters an environment where we can best help those who are going through a difficult time."
