Downtown Morgantown is a welcoming, safe, and vibrant destination where diverse businesses grow and prosper. Day or night, the district draws people of all ages to gather, shop, and dine. Connecting the Wharf, neighborhoods, river, and university, Downtown is the heart of our community, as a source of pride, historic character, and an attractive and clean place to live, work, and play. Arts Walk Handmade Arts Walks showcase local artists and makers from our creative community. Our downtown is a welcoming and safe destination where businesses grow and prosper. People of all ages can take home a treasured piece of the Arts, gather, shop, and dine. Downtown Retail Lab In partnership with WVU’s Community Engagement Lab, Main Street Morgantown hopes to transform its former office on High Street into a retail lab accelerator to give cohort members, students, and community creatives opportunities to sell their work on consignment and receive specific feedback on their products. In true community collaboration, The Retail Lab’s highly visible space will be curated and run by students in WVU’s Fashion, Design and Merchandising Program, allowing University students to garner real-life experience in retail, sales, merchandising and buying.
