What a year it's been! One of our priorities - for this year and every year - is focusing on workplace wellbeing. We had the opportunity to gather for an end of year staff lunch last week and our offices are now closed Dec 25 - Jan 1. We hope you also find some time to rest and recharge during this last week of the year. If you need inspiration for fostering workplace wellbeing in the new year, we've compiled some of our favorite ideas - many of which are free or low-cost: https://lnkd.in/e9KjZUBg

Working to strengthen the leadership, voice + organizational effectiveness of Maine's nonprofits.
About us
The mission of the Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP) is to enrich the quality of community and personal life in Maine by strengthening the leadership, voice, and organizational effectiveness of our state’s vital nonprofits. Advancing: MANP serves as a strong voice for the sector, researching, defending and promoting the sector’s impact in Maine, and empowering our members to do so as well. We develop and deliver training and resources to staff and volunteers of nonprofits across the state so that they can legally and effectively lobby on behalf of issues important to their missions. Connecting: MANP strives to create a vibrant community of nonprofits representing different regions, mission areas, and sizes. We connect leaders to one another and help organizations find and develop new talent. We facilitate connections across sectors, and convene nonprofit leaders to discuss critical issues facing the sector. Strengthening: MANP fosters a skilled, efficient and innovative sector. We provide guidance on management best practices and legal compliance, and offer high-quality trainings, resources and tools that enhance organizational governance and the recruitment, retention and professional development of nonprofit employees. We work to build the capacity of the sector to develop their existing and emerging leaders.

A big thank you to all of our panelists, guest speakers and nonprofit leaders who joined Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP) and the Maine Philanthropy Center for an insightful session on preparing for Maine's next legislative session!
We had a fantastic event in Augusta in Friday. Hosted in partnership with Maine Philanthropy Center, we had the opportunity to gather with nonprofit advocates from around the state for thoughtful discussions about advocacy prior to the 132nd Legislative Session.

We know it's a busy time of year in terms of planning, and if you're looking for data to help inform 2025 decisions, it might be time to take a look at our 2024 Nonprofit Wages + Benefits Report. Every two years we conduct a compensation survey to equip Maine nonprofits with reliable, local data to inform conversations, shape compensation strategies, and justify compensation levels to the public and the IRS. You can read through our key findings and order the full report on our website: https://lnkd.in/gE-f68GM
