We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Spencer Lindahl and Rustin Randall. We send all our combined love to their families and loved ones. Spencer and Rustin’s memories will live on through the lives they positively impacted, the tremendous achievements they put into this world, and the compassion and curiosity they instilled in all our team members.
Earlier this week we suffered an immeasurable loss when our partners and colleagues Spencer Lindahl and Rustin Randall lost their lives in an aircraft accident. Spencer, our Vice Chairman, was a strategic leader and part of the founding fabric of our firm. Rustin, a director on our brokerage team, worked closely with Spencer and was beloved by everyone who worked with and knew him. They had an incredible impact on our business in addition to being great colleagues and friends. In all grieving together as a firm these last few days, we circulated this video of Spencer welcoming home one of our long time residents, which I think beautifully captures Spencer's spirit and passion for his work. He was so proud of what we have all built together. While there is nothing I feel I can say to make this easier, I know that we are better to face this together than alone. If you have any memories or stories about Spencer and Rustin, please share -- I'd love to hear them.
