About us
Macomb County Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate substandard housing in our county by mobilizing volunteers, professionals, businesses, the faith community and other groups to build or rehab homes. Qualified low income families put in 250 hours of sweat equity building their own decent affordable home or on other educational and Habitat projects. They then purchase the home at no profit with a 25 year zero interest mortgage held by us. We are an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors.
