We recently helped our client, a large corporate real estate firm, in implementing a comprehensive triage procedure to review all data related to exiting employees. The goal being to determine if any potential litigation or suspicious activity existed, and return equipment to use as quickly as possible based on investigation results.

As we began analyzing the data, we realized that there were only 3 custodians who overlapped in the 4 different matters. Everything else was unique. Further, we had data in multiple sources that needed to be collected and aggregated: Salesforce, scheduling software, project management applications, Google drive, Box, Gmail and phone communications were all involved. This essential information wasn’t available through interviews, we had to piece it together from the data itself.
