As we head into the holiday week, we wanted to share another heartwarming story from our "Rent-Free Holidays" program. Joe & Sharelle live at one of our communities in Florida. After Hurricane Milton, the property was a disaster, with palm fronds, branches, roof shingles, and other debris all over the place. Sharelle and her children took it upon themselves to start cleaning the community’s very large pool area, picking up all the debris and disposing of it before the on-site team could even get to it. This family takes pride in where they live and are always eager to help, which is very refreshing! ❤ #OneBH #LiveBH

We're excited to continue our coverage of BH's second-ever "Rent-Free Holidays" program. The total number of resident families we were able to help this year has grown to 138! The team at TAVA Waters Apartments in Denver, CO, nominated Jeff for this year’s Rent-Free Holidays program. Jeff is being recognized for his extraordinary courage and selflessness while rescuing animals from a dangerous fire. In April 2024, a fire broke out at TAVA Waters. The flames spread quickly, putting the lives of both humans and animals in danger. Jeff entered the burning building without hesitation and at significant personal risk to save the trapped animals. Despite the heat, smoke, and perilous conditions, Jeff remained focused and determined, demonstrating remarkable bravery. Jeff's quick thinking and fearless actions prevented a devastating loss. This heroism showcases a deep compassion for animals and the willingness to put others before himself. Jeff’s actions serve as an inspiring example. His actions were truly extraordinary and worthy of this happy holiday moment. 💚 #OneBH #LiveBH

Making Happy Moments is *literally* written into our company standards and we are excited to announce our second-ever "Rent-Free Holidays" program. Last year, we created happy holiday moments for eight BH resident families by covering their December rent and associated monthly expenses. This year, we dreamed even bigger, and we were able to help 127 resident families! Throughout the month of December, we'll be sharing a few stories of residents who were awarded a “Rent-Free Holiday.” Meet Allen. Allen has been courageously battling cancer for the past few years and also recently had a hernia surgery. Allen has been a resident at his community since 2005, and the team has witnessed the significant emotional and financial toll the journey has taken on him and his adult son, Michael. A few times this year, Allen struggled to pay his rent on time due to losing wages because his treatment led to a reduction in his work hours. Despite his determination to fight, the costs associated with treatment have created immense financial strain. Awarding Allen a rent-free month alleviated some financial burdens, allowing him to focus on his health and recovery. This support helped Allen and Michael maintain stable housing and offer them peace of mind during a difficult time. ❤ #OneBH #LiveBH
