In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day this week: In 2021, Litco partnered with the National Forest Foundation to plant 50,000 trees by 2025. Through this partnership, a total of 31,000 trees have been planted in Chippewa National Forest (MN), Bitterroot National Forest (MN), and Deschutes National Forest (OR). Planting trees helps us fight climate change, maintain clean air and water, preserve wildlife habitats and create recreation areas. Over their lifetime, the 50,000 trees will mitigate 15,000 metric tons of CO2e – equivalent to removing emissions from 38,453,000 miles driven by an average gas-powered car!
