LightWare designs and manufactures the world’s smallest and lightest, professional-grade microLiDAR® sensors.
About us
The LightWare team has more than 40 years of experience designing and manufacturing the world’s smallest and lightest, professional-grade microLiDAR® sensors. As we enter an era of autonomy, machines rely increasingly on sensors to perceive their surroundings. Our microLiDAR® sensors bring solutions to machine perception, by solving for: above ground altitude, detect and avoid, terrain following, position hold and SLAM. Standard integration with autopilot & micro-controllers ensures plug-and-play compatibility with platforms such as robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), and unmanned ground vehicles (UGV). Partnering with the world’s largest aerospace innovators, trillion-dollar retailers, and commercial drone operators, we help solve challenges around: safer drone operations, accurate robotic manipulation, enhanced inspection, and navigation in GPS-denied areas. With over 50 000 sensors active in the field, our solid track record ensures we remain the de facto standard on the majority of commercial drone platforms globally. Our ISO 9001 quality certification drives processes and systems that deliver consistent quality in every aspect of the business. Our engineering support desk works closely with clients to find LiDAR solutions. For high-volume applications, we are also able to offer firmware and/or cable customizations. Partner with us today.

It was a breakthrough product year for LightWare LiDAR, with the launch of our GRF-250 laser rangefinder. Our gimbal-integrated GRF-250 brings LightWare’s build quality and ultralight design to a new market, and it’s only the start of our GRF-Series product family. As a global brand, we attended several industry events during the year, allowing customers and industry experts to handle and experience our ultralight sensors in person. Thanks to everyone who connected with our team and visited a LightWare exhibition booth this year. We’re constantly inspired by our customers and their drive for innovation, creating new applications using our #microLiDAR® sensors and laser rangefinders. #laserrangefinder #yearintech
