What an incredible journey! 🎉
Thanks to Sarah Cockey from Legacy International, I was part of the U.S. Department of State Outbound Professional Fellowship Program in Egypt. This transformative experience connected me with brilliant minds and passionate changemakers such as Dalin Nhean, dedicated to entrepreneurship, leadership & innovation, and empowering communities.
Special thanks to our hosting fellows— Salma Ouda, Ahmed Naguib, Ibrahim Zalat, May Mazen, Mai Mohamed, Amir Hany, Salma Karem, Rania Ahmed El Sayed, and Mohamed Abbas, Ph.D. MOT for their hospitality, expertise, and efforts in organizing such impactful events. From Alexandria to Cairo, each day was filled with rich conversations, engaging workshops, and moments of cultural immersion.
📌 Highlights from the Delegation:
🟠 Sharing financial empowerment strategies and co-op business models with aspiring entrepreneurs at the Youth Entrepreneurs Network (YEN) Entrepreneurship Network.
🟠 Visiting Threads of Hope is a program empowering vulnerable women through embroidery training and livelihood opportunities.
🟠 Collaborating with partners at the American Center Cairo, WEN - Women Entrepreneurs Network - Egypt, Flat6Labs, and The American University in Cairo-School for Continuing Education, exchanging ideas on leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
This experience reaffirmed my belief in the power of cross-cultural collaboration to drive social change. I returned to the U.S. with new insights and lasting memories. Thank you to all who made this exchange possible and meaningful! 🌟
