It’s no surprise that most American voters want to eliminate the Electoral College. That’s why we are thrilled to announce our One Person One Vote campaign to move our nation toward true representation – a democracy powered by the people, for the people. We're so proud of the work that League members and our fellow democracy defenders did to make this election free, fair, and accessible. These are just a few of the early stats showing our impact leading up to the 2024 election. We anticipate these numbers rising as we collect more information from our 700+ Leagues. ⤵ Throughout 2024, we made 30 million voter contacts with Get Out the Vote marketing, social media, email, textbanks, canvassing, and direct mail. As of November 5, 2024, Leagues protected 9.38 million voters around the 2024 election through litigation in 53 cases. Our one-stop-shop for election information, VOTE411.org, shared information on 55.7k candidates across 28.9k races. That's one reason why 9.19 million people went to VOTE411 for election information, including registration, candidate guides, and local election rules. LWV believes in making the vote more accessible for ALL people; we're proud to have reached 1.86 million users through Spanish-speaking ads. We also utilized the power of person-to-person conversation through relational organizing, carrying out 60.9k conversations with voters both on the ground and via our organizing app, League in Action.

Earlier this week, our president, Dianna Wynn's open letter to election workers was featured in Ms. Magazine. Our democracy could not exist without our election workers. Their dedication does not go unnoticed. Read here: https://lnkd.in/erGqNR_i

You voted. Now what? The reality is that we're highly unlikely to know the results on election night — and that's a good sign. It means our system is working as it should to ensure all voters are heard: https://lnkd.in/e52vC_Mi
