  • Do you have a brownfield or closed landfill in your community that you’d like to reuse to host clean energy? Interested in learning how to prepare for EPA brownfields grants and other federal funding to deploy “brightfields”? Join Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) and KSU TAB for our Brightfields Academy this fall, which is a 5-part series of virtual workshops to help you prepare for brownfields funding with clean energy reuse in mind. RMI’s Brightfields Accelerator supports communities who want to reactivate their brownfields and landfills by providing technical assistance to install clean energy. The second workshop in the series - “Evaluating Brownfield Site Feasibility for Clean Energy Reuse " - is coming up on September 26 at 2PM CT. This workshop aims to educate participants on evaluating site feasibility by analyzing critical factors, and train participants on using various tools to assess these factors and determine opportunities, challenges, and risks for renewables development.
