🌍♻️ Big News in Sustainability! ♻️🌍 The European Union is stepping up its game on packaging waste, and honestly, it’s about time. They’ve officially passed new rules that aim to make all packaging 100% recyclable by 2030. Yes, you heard that right—every. single. bit. Why is this such a big deal? Well, on average, people in the EU generate around 186 kilograms of packaging waste every year 😱, and 36 kg of that is plastic. Packaging is also responsible for a whopping 40% of plastic usage and 50% of paper consumption across the EU. Clearly, something had to change. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s coming: 📉 Reduction Goals: EU countries must cut plastic packaging waste by 5% by 2030, 10% by 2035, and 15% by 2040. 🚫 Single-Use Plastic Ban: Bye-bye to plastic packaging for fresh fruits, veggies, and small cosmetic products by 2030. ♻️ Recycling Requirements: All packaging will need to be recyclable by 2030, with full-scale systems ready for large-scale recycling by 2035. 🛍️ Reusable Packaging Options: Businesses must let you bring your own container for takeout and offer at least 10% of their products in reusable formats by 2030. ❌ PFAS Restrictions: These harmful chemicals will be heavily restricted in food packaging. The rules will kick into gear 18 months after they’re officially published, so it’s time for businesses to get serious about making these changes. What do you think? Is this the bold step we needed to tackle packaging waste, or is there still more to be done? Let’s chat in the comments! 🗨️💬 #Sustainability #Recycling #EURegulations #PackagingWaste #ClimateAction

It’s been 1 year since my face was on a billboard in the middle of Times Square and I’m still not over it 😆 (And to those who were asking, no this wasn’t photoshopped 😉) It’s crazy to think of all the progress we’ve made in the past year, with help from the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center’s Milestone Makers program (and SO many others of course). Excited to be working with Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center again as part of their panel discussion on closing deals with impact-driven companies. (Sign up at the l!nk in comments 🔗) Here’s to another year of learning and growth 🥂

📣 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮—𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚’𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪! The EU is proposing to merge CSRD, the EU Taxonomy, and CSDDD into a single “simplified” omnibus regulation. Insiders expect the draft to be published on February 26, 2025, which could completely change the sustainability reporting landscape—and not necessarily for the better. ⚠️ 𝙄𝙏’𝙎 𝙇𝙄𝙆𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝙐𝙇𝙀𝙎 𝘼𝙍𝙀 𝘽𝙀𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙍𝙀𝙒𝙍𝙄𝙏𝙏𝙀𝙉 𝘼𝙎 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙂𝘼𝙈𝙀 𝙄𝙎 𝘼𝘽𝙊𝙐𝙏 𝙏𝙊 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙍𝙏. For businesses, this means even more uncertainty. Reporting deadlines for CSRD (starting in 2025 for fiscal year 2024) haven’t changed, but the framework itself could shift dramatically if this proposal moves forward. 💡 If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure about what this means for your team, your suppliers, or your sustainability goals, I’m with you. Moments like these challenge us to lead with agility, clarity, and focus, even when the road ahead feels unclear. ✅ This is exactly why Kloopify exists. We simplify emissions tracking and supply chain visibility, helping you stay compliant and focused on what really matters—driving real impact and creating value—no matter how the regulations evolve. 🎥 I’ve shared more of my thoughts in this video, including how we can navigate this together. Let’s connect and start preparing for what’s next.

  • Did you know that Minnesota is the largest producer of turkeys in the United States? 🦃 Depending on where you are, your turkey might have travelled further than your dinner guests! This Thanksgiving, as we gather around the table, let's take a moment to appreciate the incredible journey our food takes to reach us. The supply chain behind our holiday meals, especially turkeys, is a complex web of farmers, processors, and logistics experts working tirelessly to ensure we have fresh options on our plates. At Kloopify, we're fascinated by the intricacies of supply chains and how they impact our daily lives. From farm to table, each step in the process plays a crucial role in delivering quality products to consumers. As you celebrate with family and friends, consider the remarkable network of people and processes that brought your meal together. It's not just about the food on our tables, but also about the innovation and efficiency in the supply chains that make it all possible. Wishing you all a joyful Thanksgiving filled with good food and great company! 🍽️ 💚
