KiiPsters! This would be a great event to listen to!
FDA’s last Sterilization Town Hall, which they are hosting on Wednesday, December 4th from 2-3:30pm. It is a full event, with two short topics of interest and a series wrap up. Topics include: 1. New Transitional Enforcement Policy for Ethylene Oxide Sterilization Facility Changes for Class III Devices Guidance that just published on 11/26 2. Research and modeling on diffusion of vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VH2O2) through select polymeric materials After these topics, panelists will share some final updates and then discuss the overall series content and impact, and end with some thoughts on next steps. You can find the event page here: https://lnkd.in/gMyJ4ZYS They’ll provide that overview and context as we move forward into 2025 in their goal to reduce reliance on ethylene oxide and move to alternative sterilization modalities, and to accelerate healthcare innovation while also ensuring that patients and providers have access to the safe, effective and sterile medical devices they need. Please feel free to forward this information to interested parties. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach back or send them along to MedicalDeviceSterilization@fda.hhs.gov.
