  • #Carlota Employees Volunteer to Keep Local Trails Open and Accessible At Carlota, we take pride in giving back to our community and preserving the natural beauty of the region. Each year, our employees partner with the U.S. Forest Service and volunteers from LOST (Legends of Superior Trails) to maintain and improve local hiking trails. These trails, free for public use, offer opportunities for hiking, running, mountain biking, and horseback riding through the stunning landscapes of #Superior, #Arizona, and the #Sonoran Desert. LOST, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2015, is dedicated to maintaining the 11.65-mile recreational trail system that winds through the area. Their efforts ensure that the trails remain safe, enjoyable, and accessible for all. Our next scheduled volunteer day is December 11, when we’ll join forces to clear brush and realign sections of the trails, helping visitors fully appreciate the desert scenery without worrying about losing their way. A big thank you to our November 2023 volunteers who exemplify the spirit of community service! #KGHM #Mining #Volunteer

  • A Historic Gift from #KGHM Robinson Mine to White Pine High School 🏫 When White Pine High School reached out with a request for rocks to enhance their landscaping project, the #KGHM Robinson team was thrilled to step in and contribute a piece of geological history! The #KGHM Robinson team delivered two massive limestone boulders, mined from #KGHM Robinson Mine’s Veteran Pit in 2008. These ancient formations, estimated to be 360 million years old, weigh an incredible 7,000 pounds and 10,000 pounds, making them as impressive in size as they are in age. Adding a unique touch to these boulders is a 12.25-inch drill hole, a relic of the mining process used to break the rock into haulable sizes. This detail connects the rocks to the rich mining heritage of the #KGHM Robinson Mine and underscores their historical significance. #KGHM Robinson is honored to contribute to this project and proud to know these remarkable boulders will be a lasting feature at the local community high school, inspiring curiosity and appreciation for generations to come. A big thank you to Manuel Reynoso and Lawrence Moretti for their dedication in selecting, transporting, and coordinating the delivery of these incredible boulders to White Pine High School.
