From winterizing equipment to readying hay bales and ice-breaking tools, every detail is accounted for. Even as preparations extend to newborn lambs and power outage contingencies, Kim holds out hope that all the storm readiness might culminate in a rare moment to enjoy the comforts of French toast amidst the hard work of farm life. Glenn Brunkow reminds us that as the holiday season wraps up, the legislative season begins — a time when Kansas Farm Bureau's grassroots efforts truly shine. With new faces in Topeka and Washington, D.C., and a policy book crafted by members, it's up to all of us to ensure our voices are heard. From building relationships with elected officials to staying informed and responding to action alerts, every member plays a vital role. While the legislative season may lack the sparkle of the holidays, Glenn urges us to embrace it with the same commitment, ensuring a strong future for farmers and ranchers.
