About us
The mission of JPNDC is to promote equitable development and equal opportunity in Jamaica Plain and adjacent neighborhoods through affordable housing, organizing, and economic opportunity initiatives that improve the lives of low- and moderate-income people and create a better community for all. So excited to have the new homeowners move into our Brookley Flats project soon! Huge thanks to the team at JGE Architecture + Design for helping us turn community vision into reality!
Last week, after touring the Brookley Flats project, Anna and Andres took some time to share insights about the exterior facade. This design features a dynamic mix of metal panels and lap siding, with alternating corrugated bands and a bold red palette highlighted by spot colors. The perforated panels, carefully placed for optimal airflow, integrate seamlessly into the design. It’s a perfect example of architecture that’s both functional and visually striking. Stay tuned for more updates! 👀

We’re thrilled to partner with the Mel King Institute to kick off the Building Foundations Program! On December 3rd, the Mel King Institute launched the first session of this transformative initiative -- a training series designed to support emerging and mid-level project managers in the affordable housing sector across Massachusetts. We are proud that MACDC & Mel King Institute selected our JPNDC’s own E. Ricky Guerra, Director of Real Estate Development and Rebecca Plaut Mautner, VP of Real Estate Development & Assets, to design and deliver this program. It was also a great opportunity for networking among project management professionals. Grateful for the chance to share knowledge and connect with such an inspiring community! #AffordableHousing #RealEstateDevelopment #BuildingFoundations #Networking #Gratitude #MelKingInstitute About the Program: The Building Foundations Program offers: -Flexible, drop-in training sessions on key topics in affordable housing development. -A Clinic Cohort series for 8-10 dedicated project managers seeking in-depth learning and peer support. -A dynamic curriculum blending theory with practice through real-world case studies, interactive exercises, and expert-led guidance.
