Journey Mental Health Center’s REST Program Coordinator, Olivia Jones, in partnership with Orion Family Services trained approximately 20 BIPOC mental health clinicians and MMSD school staff members in the Healing Ethnic And Racial Trauma (HEART) curriculum. HEART groups are for BIPOC students who are experiencing elevated levels of traumatic stress, depression, and/or trauma exposure related to racial trauma. This space was uplifting, supportive, and liberating. #schoolmentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters

We are excited to announce that we have been selected to continue our work for the HKS Government Performance Lab’s Alternative 911 Emergency Response Implementation Cohort for another year! The initiative is designed to help state and local jurisdictions expand and evaluate alternative approaches that redirect 911 calls to professionals trained to de-escalate crises and link people in need to community-based resources. Through the Cohort, the GPL will provide applied research support and technical assistance, including one-on-one coaching and adaptable tools. Learn more about the Cohort below. https://lnkd.in/eZSuDbDv HKS Government Performance Lab
