Journey Inward | Journey Outward Hypnotherapy is the place they can turn to when nothing else seems to work. Keith Ivey is the hypnotherapist at Journey Inward | Outward and knows what it's like to feel stuck with no idea how to get unstuck. I'm Keith Ivey. When I was a kid, I didn't say "Someday I want to be a hypnotherapist" I considered becoming an entertainment hypnotist but other careers got in the way. From a very young age I believed that I was broken and that I needed fixing. This belief got in the way of my personal relationships but never seemed to harmed my professional relationships. In fact, professionally, I was very successful. I was a failure in all things personal but, professionally, I was golden! On the personal side of life, no one knew what was going on inside my head. Not my wives, not my son, not my friends, not my clients. No one. That's because I was an incredible actor. I wan't trying to fool anyone as much as I was trying to spare them from my pain and my difficulty in explaining how I felt. One night, at a business networking event, a woman approached me, put her arms around me and whispered in my ear, "You need to come see me." She was a hypnotherapist and could see what others could not see. I told her I would, knowing full well that I had no intention of seeing her. Soon, we were both at another networking event and she approached me again. This time, she put her arms around me tighter and said, "Make the damn appointment!" I figured I'd make the appointment, see her once and get her off my back. It didn't work out that way. I can't tell you the details of what happened during that hour. All I can tell you is that in one hour my life was changed. Now, I do for others what she did for me.
