We were deeply saddened to hear about yesterday's tragic shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and their families. This is a stark reminder of the urgent need for comprehensive approaches to student safety and mental health as we grapple with the reality of increasing school violence. At Parallel, we believe deeply in every child's right to have their educational needs met, including going to school in a safe environment. Let us unite in hope and action, striving to ensure that every child feels safe, valued, and supported in their learning environment. Together, we can build a brighter future for our schools and communities. Our hearts go out to the teacher and student who lost their lives, the six students who were injured, and the many others who were mentally and emotionally impacted. 💙 🕊️

🎥 How can we work together to make special education teaching a rewarding and sustainable career? Answer in the comments below. Our Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. A. Jordan Wright, PhD, ABAP, ABPP, recently joined WFXT Boston 25 News to address one of the most pressing issues in education today: the nationwide shortage of special education teachers. With 7.5 million students currently qualifying for special education services, districts are struggling to hire and retain teams to meet the growing demand. Dr. Wright emphasized the critical need for: ✔️ Increased resources for individualized learning. ✔️ Incentives to make special education teaching more attractive, including better pay and support structures. These are not just numbers; they represent students with unique needs and incredible potential. We must ensure every student has access to the resources they deserve. Thank you to WFXT Boston 25 News News and anchor Nicole D'Antonio for spotlighting this urgent topic. "The future of education depends on supporting our special education teachers." - A.
