JMT Proudly Contributes to Utz Brands' Expansion with Innovative Traffic Signal Project 🚀 Hanover Borough is experiencing significant economic development due to a new state-of-the-art logistics facility owned by Utz Brands, Inc. The snack food powerhouse invested in its community by building a 650,000-square-foot center, which required essential traffic improvements in the area. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 8-0 entrusted JMT to upgrade a stop-controlled T-intersection with a traffic signal on a highly accelerated schedule to improve traffic flow and safety. The expedited schedule required the project to progress from preliminary and final design to letting within approximately six months, all while collaborating closely with PennDOT, CSX, Hanover Borough, and State Representative Kate Klunk. This endeavor was a vital component of Governor Josh Shapiro’s program to drive economic growth within Pennsylvania. 🌟 A huge shout-out to our JMT team, led by Jared Patrick, PE, ENV SP, for driving this project forward. Jared was supported by our Highways, Traffic, Water Resources, Natural and Cultural Resources, Surveys, and Construction Management groups with invaluable contributions to traffic analysis and signal design. Together, the team developed and implemented innovative solutions to meet the aggressive timeline and ensure the project was ready for the December 5 ribbon cutting attended by Governor Shapiro and Secretary of Transportation Carroll. “Jared and the rest of [the JMT team] did a great job of communicating and reaching out to the project stakeholders to ensure everyone was on the same page and got everyone to work together to get this project delivered in an accelerated manner,” Benjamin Singer, PE, PennDOT District 8-0 Portfolio Manager and Project Manager stated. “They also did a great job of keeping the project stakeholders up to date on the status of the project.” This was truly a #OneJMT effort, and we’re proud of the collaboration and innovative solutions that made it a success! #MeetJMT #Infrastructure #TrafficSolutions #Collaboration #PennDOT #Innovation

December is Universal Human Rights Month, but the commitment to unity and equality in human rights extends far beyond this month. In 1948, the UN adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), a global milestone that protects the rights and freedoms of all people. Translated into 577 languages, the UDHR serves as a universal benchmark, including workplace equality (Article 23). At JMT, we remain dedicated to upholding human rights and fostering a diverse, inclusive environment. Investing in education and initiatives that support these values is key to empowering our team and driving meaningful change. #UniversalHumanRightsMonth #Diversity #Inclusion #AECindustry #OneJMT

On GivingTuesday, our Hunt Valley recruiting team members, Karen Muller and Kara Winnard, had the privilege of participating in the annual Building STEPS Tour De Workforce event at Towson University! 🚀 Building STEPS is a Baltimore-based nonprofit that empowers motivated high school juniors and seniors by introducing them to STEM careers and networking opportunities. Many of these students are the first in their families to graduate high school or earn a college degree. 🎓 The event kicked off with a simulated career fair, where students had the chance to explore various career paths and practice professional conversations. It was an incredible opportunity for them to ask questions, engage with professionals, and refine their communication skills. The day wrapped up with a public speaking activity that allowed students to share their passions while honing their speaking techniques and minimizing the use of filler words. 📢 We at JMT are proud to partner with Building STEPS and support these future leaders on their journeys to success! #MeetJMT #BuildingSteps #GivingTuesday #TourDeWorkforce #STEM
