🎁 Spreading Hope for the Holidays! Recently, eight Jitawesomes came together to support Faces of Hope, a Boise-based organization providing a safety net of critical services for individuals experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, stalking, or human trafficking. We had the opportunity to tour their space and witness the life-changing work they do every day. One highlight was Hope’s Closet—a space filled with free clothing for men, women, and children. From cozy comfort to job interview attire, this closet truly embodies its name: hope. Our team participated in their Holiday Helpers program by wrapping and labeling gifts for families in need. These special gifts will bring smiles and warmth this holiday season, and we’re honored to play a small role in making that happen. Fostering Hope: Diana's Heartwarming Rescue of Two Sick Kittens Recently, our very own Jitasawesome, Diana, opened her heart and home to two sick kittens through Salt Lake County Animal Services. After losing her senior cat, she decided to foster kittens in need, taking on two with severe upper respiratory infections. One kitten, weighing just 250 grams, was critically ill and required constant care, including syringe feeding, 24/7 warmth, and a makeshift sauna to ease her breathing. When standard antibiotics failed, Diana advocated for a new treatment, which led to immediate improvement. Thanks to her persistence and care, both kittens thrived, reaching a healthy weight and receiving the care they needed to heal fully. Only ONE WEEK until Giving Tuesday! Is your nonprofit ready? Jitasa’s Giving Tuesday tip of the week: Draft your appreciation letter early. Everything should be pretty much in place for your Giving Tuesday campaign at this point. Now, you can turn your attention to your post-campaign steps. One important step will be thanking all of your generous supporters who donated during this national day of giving. In your appreciation letter, consider including the following elements: 🔹 Include acknowledgment letter information (date of the gift, the gift amount, the tax status of the gift, and the type of donation) for tax purposes. 🔹 The fundraising results of your Giving Tuesday campaign. 🔹 The exciting upcoming programs and projects where the fundraising revenue will be used. 🔹 A hearty THANK YOU to all of your generous supporters.
