What an honor to have Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Secretary of Transportation Mike Carroll, and Lancaster County officials speaking about "Getting Stuff Done" at our recently completed Rife Run Bridge project in Manheim. J.D. Eckman was well represented by Mike Perloski and Troy Towner. We're proud to be on the leading edge as Pennsylvania repairs more poor condition bridges than any state in the U.S. Read more at https://lnkd.in/eXJpZitj. Improving America's Infrastructure. Family Owned and Employee Focused since 1945
About us
We started as a small family owned road construction company in 1945, and have grown to over 500 full time employees, but still remain family owned, and employee focused. Originally founded by Jacob Eckman, later passed on to Jim Eckman, and now the 3rd generation; Mark, Michael and Virginia Eckman are continuing the JD Eckman legacy today. JD Eckman is a full service construction company, with our own in-house engineering staff of over 8 full-time registered professional engineers licensed in several states and over a dozen project managers/engineers we have the expertise to handle the most complex projects. Our expertise in emergency bridge repair has created excellent working relationships with the state DOT's we work with. Safety is always top priority at JD Eckman. We employ a full-time safety staff, who ensure the safety of our workers and the jobsite, and maintain OSHA compliance.

Our people work hard to build Pennsylvania's roads and bridges. You won't see them seeking recognition for their efforts. With that said, Governor Shapiro's recognition of Mike, Troy, and the rest of the team on the Rife Run Bridge project made us J.D. Eckman proud. #JDEckmanTeam

Patriotism is deeply ingrained in J.D. Eckman's culture, from hiring veterans to proudly displaying the American Flag on our equipment. On this, and every day, we honor the men and women that have given so much to defend our freedom. #VeteransDay

J.D. Eckman was awarded the PA 611 Slope Failure project after a rockslide shut down the road. With an extensive amount of work to be done, the goal was to get traffic flowing as quickly as possible. Mission accomplished. https://lnkd.in/edhS8HpC #JDEckmanHighway

From welders to operators, the team was firing on all cylinders during our recent shutdown of the US 222/US 30 Interchange. The goal is always to get the beams placed quickly and safely. #JDEckmanBridge

It was a dark, eerie October evening when the J.D. Eckman Team shut down the Route 222/Route 30 Interchange and worked feverishly in the shadows to set beams for a new bridge. Join us for a bat's eye view on the creepiest day of the year. Happy Halloween! #JDEckmanBridge
