🌟 The Dillon: A Catalyst for Transformation in Raleigh’s Warehouse District 🌟 Back in 2018, JDAVIS had the privilege to contribute to one of Raleigh’s most transformative projects: The Dillon. As the architectural design partner for the residential buildings and the master planner for the overall site, we were proud to see this mixed-use development help spark the revitalization of downtown Raleigh’s Warehouse District. Projects like The Dillon remind us that great design not only creates immediate impact but also stands the test of time, continuing to inspire and engage years later. The Dillon seamlessly integrates residential, retail, and office spaces, honoring the area’s industrial heritage while creating vibrant, community-centered living and work environments. With 300 residential units and 23,000 square feet of retail space, the project blends beautifully into a neighborhood known for its shops, art, and innovation. Our team drew inspiration from the historical Dillon Supply Warehouse, weaving its legacy into the architectural design of the residential buildings and the broader master planning of the site. This thoughtful approach to merging past and present exemplifies our commitment to designing spaces that resonate with their communities. As a Raleigh-based firm, it’s been incredible to witness The Dillon’s lasting impact on the Warehouse District, transforming it into a cultural and economic hub. As the design team for both Architecture and Landscape Architecture, JDAVIS is proud to contribute to this vibrant, transit-oriented community. What makes Alta New Carrollton unique? This five-story wrap/podium project features 319 modern apartments with on-site structured parking and exceptional connectivity—just a ¼ mile from a DC Metro station and steps from the future MDOT Purple Line, a game-changer for regional transit. Our design draws inspiration from the surrounding context and the kinetic energy of nearby rail systems, celebrating the motion and rhythm that define this vibrant urban hub. Key amenities include: 🏊 Two thoughtfully designed courtyards with a swimming pool 🏋️ A state-of-the-art fitness center 🎲 Game rooms, private offices, and community spaces 🌇 A stunning top-floor terrace offering expansive views Beyond the building, we’ve envisioned a painted mural that will enhance the parking garage, adding a creative flourish to this dynamic community. JDAVIS is committed to creating spaces that are both sustainable and inclusive, and Alta New Carrollton will proudly achieve NGBS Silver Certification upon completion in 2025. As we look ahead, we remain inspired by the possibilities this project brings to Hyattsville.
