"Nikkei NextGen Networking Event" The networking event for young collegiate and professional Japanese Americans, Japanese nationals, and friends of Japan took place in San Francisco's Japantown on November 22. “You can never be too prepared”. Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California (JCCNC) is pleased to co-host the Disaster Prevention Seminar onboard the Historic Klamath with the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco and the Bay Area Council on Wednesday, October 23. The Seminar brought together guests representing government agencies, local academia, technology companies, and the San Francisco Consular Corps to discuss important topics relating to disaster preparedness. Congratulations to the seven California ports that secured over $1 billion from the U.S. EPA's Clean Ports Program to develop zero-emission infrastructure and execute climate and air quality management strategies. The Newsom Administration has emphasized supporting clean ports through initiatives like CalSTA's Port and Freight Infrastructure Program (PFIP) and partnering with California's ports to advocate for these critical investments with the Biden-Harris Administration.
